Job summary

Kimball Electronics seeks a remote Business Manager to sustain and expand long-term customer relationships across global facilities. You will be the main link between customers, Kimball plants and HQ, driving the Company’s Package of Value and coordinating strategic plans with senior management.

The role requires electronics manufacturing knowledge or proven program management and business development experience, with travel to customer sites and regional teams.

Qualifications

• An engineering degree, or relevant Electronics Manufacturing, Business Development or Program Management experience.
• Experience with electronics manufacturing.
• Ability to establish long-term relationships with customers at all levels.
• Experience working with lean/six sigma processes and techniques.
• Willingness to travel nationally and globally.

Responsibilities

• Learn and build a partnership with key customer personnel through onsite visits.
• Learn and understand main capabilities of each Kimball facility.
• Develop an understanding of the Kimball Customer Management Model.
• Become efficient in tools used to manage accounts: SAP, Business Warehouse, forecast management, and our Quote Model.
• Understand and work within the customers processes such as S&OP, AR, and E&O claims processes.
• Develop understanding of current strategy for customer account assignments and current projects.
• Manage Periodic Business Reviews (PBR), Scorecard, and Action Plans.
• Guide the customer management model per Kimball philosophy.
• Identify opportunities with current account assignments and assume complete ownership.
• Create and guide next steps to positive cash flow and on-time AR.
• Improve Productivity Plans for each customer assignment.
• Lead business development improvement processes.
