Job summary

The Business Development Manager role focuses on identifying new opportunities, expanding market share with existing accounts, and supporting Territory Sales Managers. You will strengthen PPG's presence in automotive refinish, body shop, commercial, and retail channels, reporting to Regional Sales Manager and developing the Illinois market across the state.

This position is fully remote with up to 40% overnight travel to serve customers, using PPG's FAVR program for vehicle expenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business or marketing.
• 5+ years in sales or BD in automotive/refinish markets.
• Experience engaging with prospects and qualifying fit.
• Experience using a CRM system.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle; pass MVR review.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, negotiate, and plan with new accounts.
• Develop and implement an account management plan using PPG resources.
• Drive key accounts through the sales process.
• Mentor sales staff for regional accounts.
• Conduct regular business reviews with distributors and multi-shop groups.
