Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a driven Business Development Director to expand top-line growth across the Midwest or Southeast. You will cultivate strategic client partnerships, lead proposal development, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver profitable programs.

The role requires 10 years of related experience with at least 5 years in relationship building within claims or risk management, plus strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of related experience, including five (5) years in relationship building in claims or risk management.
• Bachelor's degree is required; CPCU and/or ARM designation is preferred or required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills.
• PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to travel as required and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, develops and maintains internal and external relationships/partnerships.
• Builds relationships with prospects and clients across the territory.
• Directs development of new partnerships and oversees implementation of client programs.
• Identifies needs and coordinates resources for prospect solicitation and service delivery.
• Manages responses, pricing, and proposals for RFPs and presentations.
• Develops and implements an annual sales and service plan with target prospects and methods to meet needs.
• Meets sales goals of $2–3 million.
