Job summary

Sedgwick seeks a high-impact Business Development Director to expand our top line by cultivating and maintaining key client relationships across a defined area. You will drive opportunities, tailor programs and pricing for prospects, and manage the end-to-end sales process to achieve specified revenue targets.

The role requires a decade of related experience in claims or risk management, exceptional communication, and strong negotiation skills, with travel as needed to engage clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Risk Management.
• Ten years of related experience including five years in relationship building in the claims management or risk management area.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, develops and maintains internal and external relationships/partnerships.
• Builds relationships with prospects and facilitates partnerships and implementation with clients.
• Manages responses, pricing and proposals for RFPs and presentations.
• Develops and implements an annual sales and service plan identifying potential client prospects and needs.
• Meets sales goals of $2-3 million.
• Supports quality programs and travels as required.
