Job summary

Thimble Alterations is seeking independent alteration professionals to work remotely on bridal and formalwear projects. You will alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and other formalwear, perform fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines to clients, all from your own workspace.

This contractor role offers flexibility to choose jobs that fit your schedule and build a client base through the platform, with opportunities to grow repeat business and reviews.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge and precision measuring.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency; good communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers).
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle).
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly.
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
