Job summary

Thimble Alterations is seeking skilled bridal and formalwear alteration specialists to work from home as independent contractors. You will alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride/groom gowns, and other formalwear, take measurements, and communicate timelines.

This role offers flexible scheduling, access to local client requests via the platform, and opportunities to grow your own client base and reviews. Strong sewing skills and professional communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations experience required.
• Strong garment construction knowledge and precise measurements.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency essential.
• Professional communication and customer service skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers).
• Work with structured bridal gowns (layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle).
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, communicate timelines clearly.
