Job summary

Trackin Assets, a Salt Lake City-based accounting services firm, seeks a Bookkeeper I to perform routine bookkeeping for assigned client accounts in QuickBooks Online and ensure accuracy under supervision. This entry-level role is remote, with training and guidance from experienced team members, and requires strong attention to detail, basic accounting knowledge, and reliable self-management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or business preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and willingness to learn; QuickBooks Online or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine bookkeeping and maintain assigned client accounts in QuickBooks Online.
• Record, review, categorize, and reconcile financial transactions across bank, credit card, loan, and other accounts.
• Identify and resolve routine bookkeeping issues, escalating complex items as needed.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation, organized client records, and prepare books for review and month-end close.
• Communicate professionally with clients to obtain information, answer routine bookkeeping questions, and follow up on outstanding items.
• Complete work accurately and on time while participating in training and applying feedback to improve knowledge and efficiency.
