Job summary

Accountex is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting activities for multiple clients. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial information accurately and confidentially.

Experience with QuickBooks is preferred. The role includes full-cycle bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, monthly/ quarterly statements, and ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
• Previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or Accounting Assistant preferred.
• Working knowledge of standard accounting practices, financial statements, and general ledger activity.
• QuickBooks experience preferred.
• Strong data entry, data management, and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping activities for assigned clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, cash receipts, and general ledger maintenance.
• Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations, vendor information, payroll-related records, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly financial statements, reports, and client-ready summaries.
• Monitor accounting data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrections or process improvements to management.
• Support fixed asset tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting needs as required.
• Maintain organized client records and follow established accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Complete ad-hoc reporting, administrative accounting tasks, and special projects as assigned.
