Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Biopharma Production Systems Specialist (BPSS) to support customers across the Boston/New England region and Canada. This field-based, remote role focuses on technical sales, consultative support, and business development for Biopharma hardware platforms and consumables.

Ideal candidates have a life sciences background, 5+ years in biopharma, and at least 1 year in sales, with willingness to travel up to 50% (domestic and occasional international).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or life sciences; master's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in biopharma manufacturing or supplying technical products.
• Minimum 1 year in a Sales role and a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to five days per week; travel ~50% including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Sales strategy: create and execute territory and account-based plans to grow pipeline.
• Pipeline management: manage opportunities using CRM and BI tools, develop proposals and pricing.
• New business generation: raise regional awareness through technical presentations and applications development.
• Relationship management: ensure post-sale satisfaction and foster long-term adoption.
• Product strategy: partner with Product Management and Marketing on commercial strategies.
• Sales team effectiveness: support training and cross-functional knowledge sharing.
• Sales process administration: maintain CRM data and forecast accuracy.
