Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Biopharma Production Systems Specialist (BPSS) to support customers across the greater Boston/New England region and Canada. You will consult with customers, provide technical sales support, and drive business development for Biopharma Production hardware and consumables.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in biopharma manufacturing or supplying technical products to the biopharma industry or similar/relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year in a Sales role.
• Full Driver’s license.
• Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations up to five days per week based on business and customer needs. Travel is expected to average ~50%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory and account-based sales strategies to drive growth for Avantor's Biopharma Production hardware platforms and consumables.
• Manage pipeline in CRM and BI tools, including opportunity strategy, proposals, demonstrations, and pricing.
• Generate new business through technical presentations and applications development to build credibility with end-users.
• Maintain post-sale relationships to enable long-term adoption of Biopharma Production hardware and consumables.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to define and monitor commercial product strategies.
• Support Sales Operations and Marketing with sales training and process improvements.
• Use CRM for accurate reporting, forecasting, and win/loss analysis; participate in special projects as needed.
