Job summary

Actalent is seeking a BIM Designer in Louisville, KY to transform contract documents into precise piping models, spool drawings, and fabrication-ready data for commercial mechanical and plumbing systems.

The role collaborates with BIM coordinators, project managers, and field leadership to ensure buildable, well-coordinated deliverables, with remote work possible for candidates with 7+ years Revit MEP experience.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in Revit for 3D piping models and MEP design.
• Experience with AutoCAD for mechanical and plumbing detailing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D models for mechanical and plumbing piping systems using Revit.
• Create spool sheets, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for shop and field.
• Coordinate piping, equipment, supports, and clearances with other trades.
• Use Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
• Review plans and specs to identify missing or conflicting information and drive resolution.
• Incorporate revisions and maintain organized project documentation.
• Manage modeling/drawing work to meet schedules across projects.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality and constructability standards.
