Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Piping Designer for a confidential data center project. The role focuses on design and detail layouts with strong CAD/3D tooling, including Revit.

You will guide project portions, check deliverables, and ensure compliance with codes and specs, with a hybrid/remote work arrangement and a contract-to-hire path. The candidate will monitor CAD work, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and prepare calculations while applying procedures and guidelines to ensure quality design

Qualifications

• Proficiency in piping design techniques.
• Experience with CAD and 3D design tools.
• Proficiency in Revit 3D.
• Sound understanding of engineering terminology and industry practices.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, procedures, guidelines, and specifications.
• Understanding of design and associated design documents for assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design and detail layouts with minimal instruction, following written procedures and guidelines.
• Provide technical guidance for assigned projects.
• Design, layout, and check deliverables.
• Utilize CAD systems, including 3D design tools, efficiently.
• Monitor design and drafting work of CAD personnel and coordinate with other disciplines as necessary.
• Interpret and apply applicable codes, standards, procedures, guidelines, and specifications.
• Provide schedules for work assignments.
• Prepare calculations to support designs.
