Job summary

BakerHostetler is seeking a Billing Supervisor for our Finance/Accounting department. This remote, exempt role manages a team of Billing Coordinators supporting the firmwide billing practice of Digital Assets and Data Management (DADM). The supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations and coordinate timely billing submissions across the firm.

Reports to the Billing and Collections Manager. Requires an associate degree with 7+ years in legal billing, and strong MS Office and Elite 3E experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with minimum seven years of related legal billing experience.
• Experience supervising staff in a fast-paced law firm environment.
• Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel; Elite 3E and e-billing sites experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to manage time and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support to Billing Coordinators on billing questions and issues.
• Lead regular team meetings to discuss ongoing work and firm news.
• Coach and review Billing staff performance.
• Monitor schedules, overtime, and timecards; ensure coverage and adherence to due dates.
• Assist with training and development of team members.
• Develop and implement billing processes; monitor WIP and billing accuracy.
