Job summary

Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a Billing Specialist to support the firm\'s billing lawyers and secretaries. The role covers all steps from proformas to final bill delivery, including edits, issue research, formatting, and approvals.

You will assist with client analyses and billing reports, collaborate with cross-functional teams (Billing, Pricing, AR, GL, Conflicts), and navigate vendor sites for invoice submission, AR review, and rate processing.

Qualifications

• At least two years of high-volume time and billing experience in a professional services environment.
• College Degree preferred; strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, exercise independent judgment, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create attorney bills from proformas to final delivery, with edits and approvals.
• Assist lawyers and secretaries with client analysis and billing reports.
• Collaborate with Billing, Pricing, AR, GL, and Conflicts teams on discounts, transfers, and addresses.
• Navigate vendors' sites for invoice submission, AR review, and rate processing.
