Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our growing team in either Duluth or Minneapolis, MN. We offer hybrid and remote work options.

This role processes accounts receivable in Unanet, generates invoices, and provides project financial analytics to support revenue recognition and collections across multiple client engagements. You will collaborate with project teams, assist with JNR/WO processing, and contribute to forecasting activities such as ETC/FTC, Sales Funnel,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Adobe, and PowerBI.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other departments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate invoices for customers based on pricing and terms with complete supporting documentation.
• Identify and suggest improvements for collections efficiency and client relationships to ensure timely billing.
• Assist with project coordination from JNR and WO processing through closeout.
• Perform unbilled revenue analysis in support of revenue recognition reports.
• Collaborate with Billing Specialist II and Project Managers on forecasting and ETC/FTC, Sales Funnel, and Backlog data.
• Prepare the LSC project margin analysis report.
• Track and analyze cost and schedule information for project status reports.
• Interface with Clients for collections, status updates, and ad hoc reporting.
