Job summary

Inspira Financial seeks a Sr. Accounting Billing Specialist to process and review billing transactions and ensure contract-based billing accuracy.

You will work with internal teams to resolve inquiries and support financial reporting, audits, and system enhancements. The role supports the Billing Team Lead and requires five years in billing or related financial operations, with strong Excel skills and experience in Sage/Intacct preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in billing, accounting, or related financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process invoices on daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.
• Review invoices for accuracy before client release.
• Interpret client contracts and fee schedules for correct billing setup.
• Set up new clients in the accounting system.
• Process termination cases within established SLAs.
• Respond to billing inquiries via email, instant message, and Salesforce.
• Assist Account Managers with billing questions, corrections, and adjustments.
• Support annual audits (SOC‑1) and regulatory reporting.
• Assist with billing integrations during acquisitions to ensure smooth transitions.
• Develop and improve departmental policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Support the Billing Team Lead and leadership with special projects.
