Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist I to join our Billing team in Cherryville, NC or remote. This role focuses on accurate billing processing, invoicing, and communication with service providers and team members.

Responsibilities include resolving invoice discrepancies, applying VMRS coding, auditing invoices, and processing rebills for Roadside and TMCare services. The position is ideal for someone organized, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and eager to grow

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with data entry, faxing, emailing, and document copying.
• VMRS coding and billing experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume work.

Responsibilities

• Contact service providers regarding invoice discrepancies or inquiries.
• Determine and mark invoices as Work & Cost Complete (WACC).
• Audit invoices for discrepancies and verify customer approval.
• Process rebills for Roadside and TMCare services.
• Index invoices into the workflow system.
• Perform VMRS coding and costing of invoices.
• Respond to PO line inquiries and handle overflow calls.
• Assist with general billing tasks as needed.
