Cox Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist I to join the Billing team in Cherryville, NC or remote. This role ensures accurate billing processes and effective communication with service providers and team members.

This role is for our unprocessed team calling for service provider invoices. The Billing Specialist I plays a key role in supporting accurate and timely billing operations for the Cox Fleet.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with data entry and basic office equipment.
• Prior VMRS coding and billing experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Contact service providers regarding invoice discrepancies or inquiries.
• Determine and mark invoices as Work & Cost Complete (WACC).
• Audit reviews to ensure no discrepancies and customer approval.
• Drag and drop invoices into appropriate events within the system.
• Execute TMCare resets as applicable.
• Process rebills for Roadside and TMCare services.
• Index invoices into the workflow system.
• Perform VMRS coding and costing of invoices, and audit invoices to ensure correct billing.
• Respond to PO line inquiries and handle overflow calls.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned within the Billing department.
