Job summary

Epic Healthcare is seeking a Lead Billing Specialist to oversee invoicing, payments and billing integrity while mentoring a billing team. You will ensure timely submissions, accurate postings and strong internal controls in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role requires 4+ years of billing/AR experience, proficiency with billing software and EHR systems, and thorough knowledge of ICD-10/CPT coding and payer processes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in billing, accounts receivable or related finance function.
• Proficiency with billing software and EHR systems.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding (ICD-10, CPT) and insurance processes.
• Proven data accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and disperse invoices with accuracy and proper authorization.
• Monitor billing queues and resolve discrepancies and rejected invoices.
• Post payments, adjustments and credits; reconcile records to ledgers.
• Lead, mentor and train Billing Specialists; provide coaching and escalation guidance.
• Support month-end close, audits, and internal controls to prevent errors.
