Job summary

Absorb Software is seeking a detail-oriented Billing & Collections professional for a fully remote, temporary 6-month position. You will support the Billing Operations team by collecting on accounts, handling inquiries, and reconciling customer accounts to ensure accuracy and timely cash flow.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in billing and 2+ years in collections, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a Billings role.
• 2+ years of experience in collections.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collect on accounts by sending invoice reminders and communicating with customers via phone, email, or mail.
• Respond to customer inquiries via automated ticketing system.
• Conduct Zoom meetings with customers to clarify invoicing issues.
• Perform customer and internal account reconciliations.
• Ensure customer accounts adhere to the company collection policy.
• Post customer payments by recording transactions in accounting software and reconciling AR ledger.
• Investigate discrepancies with sales, support, and customers.
• Resolve and validate deductions through adjusting entries.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve AR issues.
• Suggest process improvements to billing and collections.
