Job summary

VetJobs is seeking a Remote Customer Care Specialist to support Spanish-speaking customers for a major insurer. The role is 100% remote, with equipment provided and a mandatory 6-week training, 9:00 am–5:00 pm EST.

After training, hours run 11:30 am–8:00 pm EST or 10:00–18:30 EST, Monday through Friday. The position requires fluency in Spanish, strong MS Office skills, and at least 6 months of contact center or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Must be fully fluent in Spanish.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• 6+ months of contact center or customer service experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle or resolve issues.
• High-volume data entry skills.
• Ability to operate and navigate multiple operating systems while communicating effectively.

Responsibilities

• Handle inquiries involving group life, disability, and absence, including claims and underwriting.
• Take first notices of loss for group life, disability, and absence claims via phone and non-phone channels.
• Interact with insureds and claimants and internal/external partners.
• Meet departmental quality, service, phone metrics, and productivity goals.
• Prepare documents and communications using established formats and software.
• Resolve standard and complex inquiries and escalate as needed.
