Job summary

MasteryPrep LLC is seeking a part-time remote Proofreader to rewrite narratives for student success. You will evaluate lesson content for grammar, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines in English and Spanish, report issues, and maintain consistency across materials. Strong bilingual skills and timely delivery are required.

This contract position pays $35.00 per hour and is remote within the USA, supporting MasteryPrep's mission to level the educational playing field.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proofreading or editing experience.
• Excellent bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Comfortable reviewing ELA, STEM, and Social Sciences content.
• Able to learn new technology and follow detailed style guides.
• Able to meet deadlines, with quick turnaround (24 hours).
• Familiar with Slack, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat DC.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating lesson content (print, slides, online lessons, tests) for grammar and clarity.
• Evaluate content in English and Spanish.
• Report issues through a ticketing system or guidelines.
• Maintain consistent style across all produced content.
• Communicate deadlines and progress with the MasteryPrep team.
