Job summary

Financial Group is seeking a Bilingual Specialist (English & French) in a 2-year contract to support mortgage quality control and underwriting reviews. You will audit files, ensure timely and accurate service, and drive continuous improvement across the unit.

Requirements include 3–5 years of relevant experience, a post-secondary degree or equivalent, and strong English/French communication, with underwriting experience preferred. Remote work and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• Typically, between 3 – 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Underwriting experience of residential mortgages are highly preferred.
• Bilingual skills will be considered an asset
• Verbal & written communication skills (English & French) - In-depth.
• Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth.

Responsibilities

• Executes work and audit files to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient service delivery.
• Ensures consistent, high-quality practices/work and the achievement of business results in alignment with business/group strategies and with productivity goals.
• Analyzes root causes of any errors discovered during underwriting to provide for effective communication and coaching.
• Provides ongoing support to the continuous improvement process of the business unit.
• Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions.
• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
• Works mostly independently.
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
