Job summary

UCB is seeking a compassionate bilingual Onward Care Coordinator for its Rare Disease Patient Support team. This remote role supports Spanish- and English-speaking patients and caregivers across their treatment journeys, aligned with West Coast PST hours.

You will serve as the primary contact, deliver high-touch non-clinical assistance on access, affordability, administration, and adherence, and refer medical questions to healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6+ years of patient-facing clinical experience; or 4 yrs plus 2+ years industry years as a Registered Nurse, Doctor of Pharmacy, or similarly qualified clinical professional
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English, including speaking, reading, and writing

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for Spanish- and English-speaking patients and caregivers.
• Deliver personalized support using empathy and behavioral science skills.
• Explain insurance coverage, access pathways, and affordability support options.
• Provide non-clinical education and refer medical questions to healthcare providers.
• Help patients prepare for productive conversations with their healthcare providers.
• Follow privacy, safety, adverse-event reporting, and program operating requirements.
