Job summary

Valatam is hiring a 100% remote Accounting Assistant to support clients from Latin America. The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and strong bilingual communication in English and Spanish.

You will manage daily transactions, prepare balance sheets, reconcile bank statements, and assist with payroll and tax payments while maintaining accurate records and liaising with clients and partners.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping assistance experience.
• Fluent English (C1/C2) and Spanish.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions and prepare balance sheets.
• Track and reconcile bank statements.
• Create cost analysis reports (fixed and variable costs) and process tax payments.
• Support monthly payroll and keep organized records.
• Record accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers, and partners.
