Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services-Retail Lending is seeking a mid-level Business Reporting Analyst to develop and maintain reports, analyze data, and drive improvements in the Mortgage Lending Division. You will work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure timely, accurate regulatory reporting (HMDA, Fair Lending, state and federal).

Proficiency in Power BI, SSRS, and SQL is expected. You will automate reporting processes, build data dictionaries, and train business users on

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, SSRS)
• Intermediate knowledge of Power BI, SSRS, and SQL
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret data
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with large datasets and relational databases
• Knowledge of residential mortgage lending data/terminology
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Experience translating business questions into analytical queries and visualizations
• Experience with Agile or Jira
• Experience developing data dictionaries or glossaries
• Bachelor’s degree in related field; 2–4 years in similar role
• Residential Mortgage Industry experience (2+ years)
• Power BI certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to gather reporting requirements and deliver insights
• Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements (HMDA, Fair Lending, state/federal reports) and support findings with data
• Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and operational opportunities
• Perform data validation and develop exception reports
• Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports using BI tools (Power BI, SSRS, SQL)
• Automate manual reporting processes to improve efficiency
• Support development of a data dictionary for Mortgage Lending data
• Provide training and support to business users on reporting tools
