Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services seeks a mid-level Business Reporting Analyst to develop and maintain moderately complex reports and dashboards for the Mortgage Lending Division. You will analyze data, identify trends, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and improve reporting processes.

This role requires strong Excel and BI tool proficiency, experience with Power BI, SSRS, and SQL, plus familiarity with mortgage data terminology.

Qualifications

• Experience translating business questions into analytical queries and visualizations
• Experience with Agile or project-based work environments (e.g., Jira)
• Experience developing and maintaining data dictionaries or business glossaries
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent job experience in BI, report development, data analysis, data integration or information management. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
• Two to four years’ experience as a Business Reporting Analyst I and/or similar role.
• A minimum of two years in the Residential Mortgage Industry experience.
• Microsoft Power BI Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements (HMDA, Fair Lending, state and federal reporting); assist in findings and provide data for internal committees.
• Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Perform data validation and analysis of all reportable data to ensure accuracy and develop exception reports.
• Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports using BI tools (Power BI, SSRS, SQL).
• Automate manual reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Support development of a data dictionary for Mortgage Lending data and document report procedures.
• Provide training and support to business users on reporting tools.
