Carrington Mortgage Services-Retail Lending is seeking a mid-level BI/Reporting Analyst to develop and maintain reports and dashboards, perform in-depth data analysis, and identify trends to support decision-making in the Mortgage Lending Division. The role collaborates across teams to gather requirements and improves reporting processes.

The job emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, data accuracy, and regulatory reporting readiness (HMDA, Fair Lending).

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, SSRS).
• Intermediate knowledge of Power BI, SSRS, and SQL.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights.
• Team-player with strong communication and interpersonal skills; self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with large datasets and relational databases.
• Residential mortgage lending data knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to translate business questions into analytical queries and visualizations.
• Experience with Agile or project-based environments (e.g., Jira).
• Experience developing and maintaining data dictionaries or glossaries.
• Bachelor’s degree required; 2–4 years in a BI/reporting role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements (HMDA, Fair Lending, state/federal reports) with accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Perform data validation and development of exception reports for reportable data.
• Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports using BI tools (Power BI, SSRS, SQL).
• Automate manual reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Support the development of a data dictionary for Mortgage Lending data and document procedures.
• Provide training and support to business users on reporting tools.
