Job summary

Empower LLC is seeking a Benefits Analyst to provide administrative and operational support for employee benefit programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement programs, annual open enrollment, benefits communications, HR data integrity, and wellness initiatives.

This role collaborates with employees, HR partners, benefits vendors, and internal stakeholders to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Three years of benefits administration with a bachelor’s degree or seven years without a degree.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, ACA/PPACA, ERISA, and DOL/IRS regs.
• Experience using benefits administration systems to maintain enrollment and eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain employee benefit programs (medical, dental, life, AD&D, disability, HSAs, 401(k), pensions, COBRA).
• Maintain enrollment records, eligibility, and coverage changes with accuracy.
• Support onboarding/offboarding related to benefits and life events.
• Serve as primary contact for benefits inquiries and resources.
• Investigate and resolve enrollment discrepancies with vendors and stakeholders.
• Support development and documentation of benefits policies and communications.
• Coordinate annual open enrollment and data validation for regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate compliance reviews and Form 5500 filings as needed.
• Assist with wellness programs and vendor data feeds.
• Align benefits administration with HRIS and organizational goals.
