Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is hiring an Account Manager – Employee Benefits. This remote/hybrid role supports Eastern and Central Time Zones with on-site requirements in select cases, based on policy.

You will lead a benefits account team, manage client relationships, and drive service excellence and growth opportunities. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in the industry, an active license, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Active licensing is required.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational, delegation, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring service levels and performance requirements are met.
• Deliver outstanding client service and respond quickly to requests.
• Lead the account team and coordinate daily tasks of Account Coordinators.
• Identify and act on sales opportunities to grow IOA business.
• Manage new business setup including data collection, client files, and notifications.
• Oversee renewals, update client files, coordinate carrier rates and audits.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and advocate for clients and carriers.
