Job summary

Navy Region Southwest FFR is seeking a Community Recreation Manager within the MWR program. You will supervise staff, oversee day-to-day operations, and drive the planning, promotion, and administration of a wide range of outdoor recreation activities across CNIC facilities.

You will lead workshops and events, build partnerships with base and community organizations, and ensure high standards of safety, customer service, and program effectiveness through data reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Marketing, Business or closely related field, or equivalent recreation-related work experience.
• Experience in customer service and activity-based functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; work independently and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and coordinate day-to-day operations of community recreation programs.
• Assist with hiring processes, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
• Lead workshops, clinics, and events in multiple outdoor skills areas.
• Plan, promote, and administer diverse recreation programs across CNIC facilities.
• Develop partnerships with on-base and off-base organizations to support programs.
• Manage data, reports, and POS transactions; ensure safety and compliance.
