Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Bank Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations and scale the finance function during growth. You will oversee monthly reporting to stakeholders, and coordinate with auditors to complete the annual bank financial statement audit.

Responsibilities include building a strong regulatory reporting function (FFIEC, Part 363, Fed reports) and partnering with engineering/product to automate accounting processes while guiding strategic analysis and initiatives.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA designation required
• Minimum 10 years in Accounting, Finance or Treasury areas
• At least 5 years of people management experience
• Experience building tools and processes to scale an accounting team

Responsibilities

• Lead the bank accounting team with strategic direction and coaching.
• Serve as primary cross-functional liaison with affiliated teams.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Build regulatory reporting function for FFIEC calls, Part 363 and Fed filings.
• Coordinate annual bank financial statement audit with external auditors.
• Collaborate with engineering/product to drive automation in accounting/reporting.
• Manage financial analysis and special projects as needed.
