Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, Platform in Orlando, FL to design, build, and own the backend whose APIs power payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics across iOS, Android, Mac, Chrome, and web. You’ll optimize services, collaborate with product and web teams, and help scale a high-availability platform used by millions.

Qualifications

• Proven backend experience with TypeScript/Node.js is required.
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially GCP; familiarity with AWS/Azure is a plus.
• Demonstrated habit of taking ownership and shipping measurable results.
• Ability to design and implement AI-assisted automation to reduce manual work.
• Strong emphasis on logs, metrics, and real system checks over summaries.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own APIs for payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics.
• Improve existing services for speed, cost, and reliability.
• Review changes with a focus on correctness and long-term maintainability.
• Automate routine tasks and reduce manual intervention where possible.
• Collaborate with product, mobile, and web teams to keep backend architecture aligned with product direction.
