Reddit is seeking a software engineer to join the Moderation team in a fully remote-friendly role within the United States. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering to build features that engage communities and support moderators across Reddit’s vast site.

The role covers the full development cycle from design to launch, with opportunities to review code, contribute to API design, and grow technical and leadership skills in a fast-paced, globally distributed

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-5 years of software development in an enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in Go or Python; familiarity with Rust or Ruby.
• Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift or gRPC and API design.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to keep projects on schedule.
• Self-directed, innovative, and comfortable in fast-paced environments with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to build features for Reddit users and moderators.
• Contribute to the full development cycle: design, development, testing, experimentation, and launch, including code/design reviews.
• Continuously learn and improve technical and non-technical abilities.
