Cribl is hiring a Backend Engineer to shape Core Platform by building scalable services and APIs that ingest, process, and route telemetry data in real time. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust software.

You’ll contribute to high‑quality, distributed systems, own features end‑to‑end, and participate in on‑call rotations in a fully remote, globally distributed team. Cribl supports a strong equity and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, networks, OS, distributed systems.
• Experience building products that leverage large scale data sets (Node.js/Typescript).
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, scalability principles.
• Experience with Agile processes and rapid iterative development.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for backend systems and APIs handling ingesting, processing, and routing data.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust code delivering expected outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to translate features into design and code.
• Create rich test plans and automated tests to ensure features work as intended.
• Own the software end-to-end, including on-call support.
• Contribute to larger team goals, even beyond job scope.
