Cribl is seeking a staff-level software engineer to build and operate production distributed systems for its AI-era telemetry platform. You will design, implement, and scale agent runtimes, orchestration, and backend services, collaborating with engineering leads and partner teams to ship reliable tools with strong guardrails.

You will embrace a builder mentality, drive adoption across teams, and contribute to security, observability, and deployment patterns.

Qualifications

• Staff-level software engineering experience building and operating production distributed systems.
• Kubernetes in production and cloud-native ops experience desirable.
• Strong focus on security, permissions, and data access.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production agentic workflows and the platform harnesses they run on (orchestration, tool integrations, shared context).
• Practice intent engineering: turn goals into concrete specifications and criteria for AI systems.
• Stay current on AI tooling and evangelize best practices across Engineering.
