TOOLBX is seeking a Business Development Manager (Player-Coach) to build our outbound prospecting function from the ground up. In the initial phase you will cold call, book qualified meetings, and test scripts; later you will hire and lead SDRs while staying close to the phones.

This role is a hands-on, player-coach position that defines targets, messaging, metrics and hiring plans as TOOLBX expands into new markets, with remote work across the US and Canada.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outbound B2B sales or similar.
• Ability to book meetings and hit targets.
• Experience building or improving sales processes.
• Comfort leading people and coaching SDR/BDR.
• Remote-first, self-directed with CRM experience.

Responsibilities

• Own outbound prospecting across territories; qualify meetings.
• Book meetings that become pipeline; run discovery-lite.
• Create and test scripts, cadences, and criteria.
• Define SDR targets, ramp plans, and hiring needs.
• Coach while you play; conduct reviews and role-plays.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and marketing.
• Log calls in HubSpot and report on metrics.
• Build target lists and messaging for new markets.
