Job summary

Teleflora is seeking a self-driven, energetic Business Development Associate for Flowerbuyer.com to prospect and develop new business with retail florists, building long lasting relationships and helping them save on fresh cut needs.

This hourly plus commission role is remote. You will engage via high-volume outbound calls and Microsoft Teams meetings, develop top accounts, coordinate with internal teams, and strive to exceed daily selling targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of sales experience; floral industry experience is a plus.
• Experience with outbound sales, customer relationship management or account development preferred.
• Experience with prospecting, customer retention, objection handling and reactivating inactive customers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish a high level of rapport and trust with Teleflora florists
• Call upon and develop a relationship with key retail Florists via phone calls and Microsoft Teams meetings to introduce them to our products and the significant savings available to them with the ongoing use of our products
• Work with internal departments/resources to provide custom products/solutions to Top Accounts that have the potential to bring significant volume to your portfolio
• Utilize appropriate order entry, call tracking, and contact management software
• Participate in sales, product and process training as required.
• Meet and exceed the daily expectation of time on telephone selling to the florist
• Additional duties as assigned
