Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Azure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a remote, USA-based role. You will ensure reliability, performance, and security of Azure-hosted applications and infrastructure, working with DevOps, security, networking, and application teams.

The role emphasizes automation, observability, and incident management, with responsibilities across Azure services, Terraform/Bicep/ARM, and CI/CD pipelines. Competitive compensation and annual incentive eligibility are noted.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure and production workloads.
• Deep knowledge of Azure services such as VMs, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Load Balancers, AKS, and networking.
• Experience building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Proficient in IaC using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Familiar with monitoring/observability using Azure Monitor and related tools.
• Strong problem-solving and incident management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and support production and non-production workloads on Microsoft Azure, ensuring reliability, availability, performance, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot Azure services and infrastructure components to drive timely resolutions and RCA.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available Azure cloud solutions.
• Develop and maintain IaC for automated provisioning and configuration of Azure resources.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure-native tools.
• Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to improve platform stability.
• Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management.
• Automation of repetitive tasks to reduce manual intervention and improve reliability.
