Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Azure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, availability, performance, and security of applications and infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure. You will work with cross-functional teams to automate, monitor, and improve the Azure platform, delivering scalable and highly available solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on expertise in Azure services, DevOps, IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM), and strong incident/problem management skills.

Qualifications

Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and production workloads.
Strong understanding of Azure architecture, availability, scalability, resiliency, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Azure services: VMs, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, AKS, and networking.
Proficiency in monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights.

Responsibilities

Manage production and non-production workloads on Microsoft Azure ensuring reliability and security.
Troubleshoot Azure services and infrastructure including VMs, AKS, and networking components.
Design and maintain scalable, highly available Azure cloud solutions.
Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting with Azure-native tools.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Create IaC for provisioning with Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
Automate operational tasks to improve platform reliability and reduce manual work.
Support security, identity management, and RBAC in Azure.
