Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Azure Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, availability, performance, scalability, and security of applications on Microsoft Azure.

The role emphasizes Azure infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, IaC, observability, automation, and production support, collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen platform stability in a remote USA environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and production workloads.
• Deep understanding of Azure architecture, availability, scalability, resiliency, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with key Azure services: Virtual Machines, App Services, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, AKS, and networking.
• Experience building, maintaining, or troubleshooting Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid IaC experience using Terraform, Bicep, and/or ARM templates.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting in Azure (Monitor, Analytics, Insights).
• Knowledge of security remediation, governance, and compliance activities in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and support production and non-production workloads on Microsoft Azure, ensuring reliability and security.
• Troubleshoot Azure services including VMs, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Load Balancers, AKS, and networking components.
• Design and maintain scalable, highly available Azure cloud solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Create and manage IaC using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting with Azure tools.
• Apply SRE principles to improve service availability and platform stability.
