Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Azure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure reliability, availability, and security of Azure-hosted applications. You will implement IaC, observability, and automated processes across production and non-production environments, collaborating with security, networking, and DevOps teams to drive resilience.

The role emphasizes incident management, scalable cloud design, and strong DevOps practices, with remote work options within the USA.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and production workloads.
• Experience applying SRE principles to ensure availability, reliability, and performance.
• Proficient with IaC (Terraform, Bicep and/or ARM templates) and CI/CD in Azure DevOps.
• Ability to design scalable, highly available Azure cloud solutions and monitor them effectively.
• Experience in incident, problem, change, and release management with security focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support production and non-production Azure workloads for reliability and security.
• Troubleshoot Azure services including VMs, App Services, AKS, Key Vault, and networking.
• Design and maintain scalable, highly available Azure cloud solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Implement and manage IaC using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Automate operational activities to reduce manual intervention and improve reliability.
• Collaborate across security, infra, networking, and application teams for improvements.
• Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management with root-cause analysis.
