Job summary

Cognizant invites an experienced Azure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a remote USA team focused on reliable Azure cloud platforms. You will manage production workloads, automate deployments, and enhance observability across services, with strong emphasis on security and incident response.

Ideal candidates have hands-on Azure experience, IaC skills with Terraform/Bicep/ARM, and a track record of building scalable, resilient cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and production workloads.
• Strong understanding of Azure architecture, availability, scalability, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with core Azure services (VMs, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Load Balancers, AKS, networking).
• Experience building and operating Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• IaC using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support production and non-production workloads on Azure.
• Troubleshoot Azure services such as VMs, AKS, App Services, networking, and storage.
• Design and maintain scalable, highly available Azure cloud solutions.
• Implement monitoring, logging, diagnostics, dashboards, and alerting with Azure tools.
• Apply SRE principles to improve service availability and reliability.
• Build and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Create IaC for automated provisioning and configuration.
• Automate repetitive operations to reduce manual work.
• Support security, identity management, and access controls.
