Job summary

Eastwall is seeking an Azure Solution Architect to work with executives and channel sales to design, sell, and implement modern Azure solutions. The role transitions to delivery after winning engagements, ensuring kickoff and execution aligned with the customer vision.

This client-facing management consulting position requires strong Azure expertise, presales ability, and excellent communication, with up to 50% billable utilization and travel within the continental United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure cloud solutions such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Warehousing, or other comparable Azure data tools.
• At least 2 years of presales responsibilities related to proposal development, solution architecture, statement of work authoring, and co-owning of technical sales pipeline with a direct sales team.
• Experience in a consultative role or engineering role working with multiple clients concurrently.
• Experience in developing dimensional and semantic data models, ETL patterns, and familiarity with Lakehouse design concepts.
• Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery principles for data solutions.
• Experience with unified data analytics platforms like Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Strong communication skills including technical writing and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Directly engage with customers and Microsoft on presales scoping calls, proposal development, and SOWs.
• Oversee and advise on the implementation of the Azure platform and translate business outcomes into technical solutions.
• Demonstrate leadership through architecting solutions and guiding project methodologies.
• Act as trusted advisor to customer leadership for solution approaches.
• Translate requirements into well-architected recommendations aligned with CAF and WAF frameworks.
• Develop forward-looking guidance and future state roadmaps.
• Leverage best practices to reduce risk and standardize presales and delivery approaches.
• Collaborate with Eastwall executives, sales, and delivery teams to align goals.
