Job summary

Waveguide is seeking an Associate AV Designer to contribute to audiovisual project delivery while developing technical knowledge and documentation skills for independent practice. The role operates under Designers and Lead AV Designer and ensures timely completion of tasks.

Responsibilities include producing AV drawings, updating plans, and collaborating with team members. Remote work is heavily emphasized, with limited travel for training.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related professional experience in building engineering and design
• Two-year technical degree (e.g. AS Engineering Technology) or higher
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit design software preferred (not required)
• AVIXA CTS certification preferred (or commitment to achieve within 12 months)
• General understanding of AV technology applications and design/construction processes
• 90+% remote work anticipated; travel <10% for training/site reviews

Responsibilities

• Project Delivery: complete production tasks within schedule and quality expectations
• Technical Execution: develop defined portions of AV designs under guidance
• Quality Assurance: perform self-checks and respond to feedback
• Collaboration: coordinate tasks with project team and maintain files
