Job summary

Assurance AV Solutions seeks an AV Design Engineer to collaborate with Sales and Integration teams on audio, video, and lighting systems for a range of projects. You will conduct site surveys, create layouts, and design systems for spaces from classrooms to auditoriums.

You will coordinate handoffs with internal teams, manage project documentation, and contribute to R&D. Strong communication and project-management skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a two-year degree or 5 years equivalent experience in AV systems.
• 3+ years engineering experience in the AV industry preferred.
• Familiarity with structural and mechanical design concepts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys with Sales to determine customer requirements.
• Create preliminary layouts and sketches for design proposals.
• Design AV systems for spaces such as huddle areas, classrooms, auditoriums and boardrooms.
• Coordinate and lead detailed project handoff and kickoff meetings.
• Maintain communication with project managers to meet milestones.
• Develop bid specifications and perform cost analyses.
• Produce project documents, materials lists, and drawings.
