Job summary
Oxley Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to assess software quality through automated and manual testing and to collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to create robust test plans and scripts.
The role supports a federal government department and requires adapting to agile, sprint-based cycles. The candidate will review specifications, execute tests, document defects, and participate in post-release testing while ensuring quality across the software
Qualifications
- 4 years of automation software testing experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience developing and executing automated test scripts and building test plans.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodology and sprint-based testing.
- Experience using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Experience with Selenium and manual testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience supporting a federal government department (VA preferred).
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze system specifications.
- Develop test strategies, plans, and procedures with cross-functional teams.
- Execute automated test cases and analyze results.
- Evaluate product code against specifications.
- Document defects and verify requirements.
- Report issues to development teams and troubleshoot.
- Perform post-release testing.
- Maintain defect database and logs.
