Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for web applications and backend APIs. This is primarily a remote role with occasional travel to client sites in the DMV area.

You will shift manual testing toward scalable test suites integrated into our deployment pipeline, collaborating with developers, product managers, and QA peers to catch bugs early and deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• 4 years of QA experience with automation
• Experience coding in Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or SQL
• Experience with backend, frontend, and API testing
• Experience building and maintaining automated test suites and APIs

Responsibilities

• Design and write maintainable automated test scripts for web applications and APIs
• Build and scale robust automation frameworks to increase coverage
• Create end-to-end test plans from requirements and user stories
• Execute regression, functional, and smoke tests before releases
• Log and track defects with steps to reproduce and severity
• Troubleshoot test failures to isolate issues in apps vs. scripts
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
