National General is seeking an experienced Material Damage Claims Adjuster to investigate and confirm facts of loss for auto accidents, determine coverage and liability, and adjust claims within authority. The role emphasizes empathy, effective communication, and collaboration across teams to deliver exceptional service.

The ideal candidate has strong coverage investigation skills, a proven track record with complex auto claims, and can work in or near the CST time zone.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of auto claims experience
• Strong understanding of subrogation, fraud potential, and liability
• Excellent customer service, empathy, and de-escalation skills
• Able to work in or near CST time zone and coordinate with teams

Responsibilities

• Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle for complex cases
• Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company and industry
• Handles investigation regarding all aspects of complex auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with discretion within authority
• For injuries (if handled), reviews, evaluates, and negotiates moderate to complex injury claims
• Recognizes body parts of a vehicle and potential property damage
• Identifies customer needs and meets them with customer service skills
