Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, seeks an experienced field-based claims estimator to create or audit comprehensive auto/maternal damage estimates and mentor others. This remote role covers the Wilmington, NC market with regular local travel.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in body shop or automotive repair, strong communication, and the ability to negotiate settlements. CCC ONE proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in body shop or automotive repair.
• Ability to assess vehicle damage and communicate repair recommendations.
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Estimate or audit damages for first and third party material damage.
• Negotiate settlements and document activities across complex files.
• Evaluate settlement options per regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers across lines.
• Train, mentor, and provide technical assistance on material damage claims.
